The Centerton Fire Department escorted Santa Clause around town prior to Christmas. Santa passed out candy while visiting with the children.
The Centerton Police Department participated in the 'Shop With A Cop' program. Several students from Gamble Elementary School were selected to participate.

Good Afternoon, I just wanted to write some updates on things coming up that are important, first of all anyone wanting to vote in the General Election coming up on November 4th, you need to be registered by October 6th, you can check and see if you are registered and in gthe correct location at www.voterview.org Also I have early voting set up here in Centerton and anyone in Benton County can vote here starting October 20th at the Centerton Fire Department.
A couple of events coming up first on Saturday September 13th at 8am I am organizing a clean up of our parks, I will have folks from the Benton County Sheriff’s office clewan up the lake and walking trail and also along Highway 102, and I have a family cleaning up Griffith park on Harvest Street. If anyone wants to commit to another park please contact me, we will meet and work just a few hours to clean up any trash before winter comes.
Then on Saturday September 20th I will have my monthly “Coffee with the Mayor” and everyone is welcome at 9am, this is a chance to visit with your local elected officials and interact with them and learn about all the great things going on. I also invited Benton County Judge Bob Clinard, and Justices of the Peace Susan Anglin and Steve Curry to talk about the upcoming vote on the ambulance issue. There are 2 issues on the ballet one is a .2 mil increase for all residents of Benton County and the other is a $40.00 fee for residents in the non-incorporated parts of Benton County. Even if you don’t live in Centerton please attend so you can learn about the issues coming up on this election.

The City of Centerton is taking applications for a position on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Regular meetings are held on the first (1st) Tuesday of each month. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will chose a candidate for recommendation to the Mayor and City Council for appointment.
Greetings from Centerton City Hall, I want to talk to you about 2 events coming up, first of all Coffee with the Mayor will be Saturday June 21st here at city hall at 9am, everyone is welcome and this will give you a chance to meet your elected officials and discuss new things going on in our great community. Next will be the 38th Annual Centerton Day on June 28, this is an al day event, I will highlight some of the events but you can get a full schedule on the City of Centerton, Arkansas Facebook Page.
There will be a 5K run starting at 7am behind Sonic Drive in, here is the link to pre-register, its $15.00 in advance or $20.00 the day of the event. https://www.register-wizard.com/register/?ID=1268
There will also be a Pancake Breakfast at the Centerton Fire Department located at 755 West Centerton Blvd. from 7am until 10am, hosted by Horton Tire and Wheel, this will be all you can eat pancakes and sausage for $5.00 per person, all proceeds will go to the Centerton Volunteer Fire Department. There will also be a Kid’s Fishing Derby at the Centerton Lake from 7:30am until 10:30am, this is a free event for children 15 and under and you need to bring your own pole and bait and there will be tagged fish for prizes.
There will also be a Car and Bike Show at Beckendale Plaza in the 400 Block of West Centerton Blvd, from 9am until 3pm sponsored by Domabella’s Italian Eatery and also Horton Tire and Wheel the entry fee is $25.00 per car and please contact Melissa at 426-4545 for more information. There is also a Centennial Tiny Tot Pageant at 9am, the entry forms are on the city Facebook and also city website at www.centertonat.us
Also there will be a parade at 11am, if you would like to participate in the parade, everyone is welcome to join please meet on Commercial Street beside Harps at 10:30am, to line up. We will also have US Congressman Steve Womack as our guest speaker and we will also be presented a proclamation by State Rep. Dan Douglas for our 100 year Centennial.
There will also be music in the park all morning by local bands Gabe Wood, Life point Worship and Breaking Silence. There will also be a live auction at 12 noon, which will benefit the Centerton Volunteer Fire Department, Shop with a Cop and Centerton Animal Control.
